When Maximilian stumbles upon an old magic hat, he decides to become a magician. Eager to begin performing tricks, he doesn't bother reading the instruction book. His first show results in mixed up magic and silly spells, but much to his surprise, the children have a wonderful time. Maximilian learns that the ability to make others laugh is more important than being perfect. Like all Franklin Mason Press titles, a portion of each sale benefits our charity partner, The March of Dimes. In addition, two pages are saved to publish the work of 6-9 year olds through our Guest Young Authors and Illustrators Contest.
